Want to win some photo goodies from us? You’ve read our stories. You’ve read our lovely couples’ stories. Now, it’s your turn to tell us a bit about YOUR STORY! It’s super simple to participate, and we are easy to impress! ;) Just a short one or two line answer is sufficient (but of course you are welcome to make it however long you like). Your story will also help inspire other readers…. so in the end everyone benefits!  This is the only time this year that we will be offering something like this, so be sure to take advantage of it or tell your friends about it.  Spread the Love! :)

CONTEST A - Open to all:

Prize: Free 30-minute Mini Session (Engagement, Family, Baby, Pet, or Anytime Portrait Session) with 12 retouched images
Terms: Photo Session will take place within OC/LA County. Prize is non-transferable, and must be redeemed by 12/31/2010.
How:  Choose ONE out of the following four questions to answer in a short paragraph:

  1. What’s the most romantic thing anyone has done for you? or vice versa?
  2. If you are single, what’s your dream wedding like? Describe the details (color, theme, place, etc.)… remember it’s a “dream” wedding,  so go all out for it! :D
  3. If you are married, what are some of the most treasured memories from your wedding day? If you ever have a vow-renewal, what will this celebration be like?
  4. If you could go anywhere in the world and live there for an entire year without worry, where would you go and what do you plan to do there?
CONTEST B - ONLY available to the couples who worked with us at the Charity Engagement Shootout

Prize: $350 “Photo Goodness” credit that can be applied to any photography service we provide!
Terms: Photo Session will take place within OC/LA County. Prize is fully transferable, and must be redeemed by 12/31/2011.
How:  Choose ONE out of the following three questions to answer in a short paragraph:

  1. What’s the most romantic thing your sweetheart has ever done for you? or vice versa?
  2. What’s your wedding theme, color, inspiration, etc.?  Do you have a wedding idea that you absolute love and want to share with other brides-to-be?
  3. If you could go anywhere in the world and live there for an entire year without worry, where would you go and what do you plan to do there?
Attach a picture of yourself (or you and your sweetheart), then email it along with your answer to: spreadthelove AT luciaisabella DOT com
(If you don’t have a picture to include with your answer it’s OK too. Your entry still counts.)

Malibu Charity Engagement Shootout :: Part I

Last Tuesday we had the honor to be a part of Beverly Hills photographer Jen O’Sullivan’s Charity Engagement Shootout event at The Sunset Restaurant in Malibu, CA.   Jen organized this event to help raise funds for a charity called LETMESAIL.

LETMESAIL is an organization based in the Santa Clarita Valley that is dedicated to enriching the lives of differently-abled individuals and their family members. These individuals include people who have Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, hearing and vision impairments, physical disabilities, and a wide range of intellectual disabilities. LETMESAIL recognizes that people with disabilities have many talents, skills, and unique traits, and that these individuals are not so much disabled as they are differently “abled,” and as much deserve a quality lifestyle where they can use their talents and abilities in a positive way to benefit themselves as well as the society. Through events such as Summer Camps, Cooking and Nutrition Classes, Independent Living Skills Instruction, and Art Classses, LETMESAIL help bring happiness and increased self-sufficiency to the lives of these differently-abled individuals. Basically, LETMESAIL helps them SAIL!

And how fitting it was that Jen held the fun-raising event for LETMESAIL at a beautiful beach venue!

The event rounded up some of the finest wedding vendors (florists, planners, makeup artists, bakers, photographers, etc. ) under one roof, and over 50 engaged couples attended, who each had a chance to “test-drive” several photographers at once, all for FREE!   To top off the event, vendors also donated their services and goods for raffle, and attendees bought raffle tickets, with all proceeds going to LETMESAIL.  There were some serious goods offered that day: from free bridal and makeup sessions to a $600 couture cocktail dress!  And a lucky couple won one 11×14 Art Print, a Photo Guest Signing Book, plus a custom-made, “LOVE” leather bracelet from us! :D

Here is Jen dressed in white, ready to raffle away the prize from Lucia Isabella Photography :)  We were very excited about offering this raffle prize, which we wrapped with lots of LOVE:

A few lucky couples even ended up wining multiple prizes!  It was cool to see them walk away with so many goodies.  However, we also feel bad for those that didn’t win anything, or have completely missed out on the event.

So, to spread the love and to keep the spirit of giving alive, we have decided to extend all our couples at the Engagement Shootout as well as our loyal blog readers a chance to win even more fabulous stuff!  This is the only time this year that we will be offering these kind of goodies, so be sure to take advantage of it or tell your friends about it!
